Non‑Surgical Hair Regrowth
Hair Restoration treatments involve using Plate-Rich Plasma or PRP to infuse the scalp with growth and healing factors, rejuvenating the scalp and improving the health and growth of hair follicles.
Hair loss is a problem for both men and women. Around 10% of women aged 30-40 experience hair thinning and this percentage increases dramatically with age.
For men around 60% start to see a thinning of their hair from age 30 with as high as 85% of men experiencing a significant amount of hair thinning and male pattern baldness as they age.
Hair loss can be due to multiple reasons including genetics, physical and mental health, drug and alcohol use, cigarette smoking, and even pollution.
How do the treatments work?
A small vial of your blood is extracted and then spun in a medical centrifuge which separates the PRP from your blood cells. The separated PRP is then harvested and infused into the treatment area.
What happens during the treatment?
Initially a microneedling treatment is applied whilst infusing the PRP into the scalp. Small injections of PRP are then administered into the deeper layers of the scalp at the depth of your hair follicles. LED Light Therapy is then applied to the scalp to improve post treatment redness and inflammation and provide additional healing and rejuvenating support to the hair follicles.

Who’s an ideal candidate for Non-Surgical Hair Regrowth?
Non-Surgical Hair Regrowth treatments with PRP are suitable for people experiencing:
Thinning hair
Receding hairline
Alopecia
Unfortunately, this is not a cure for complete hair loss/baldness.
As Non-Surgical Hair Regrowth treatments utilise PRP harvested from your own body these treatments are best suited to individuals who are in good overall health and have realistic expectations about their results. It’s not recommended for individuals who:
Have local infections
Are pregnant or breastfeeding
Have moderate to severe chronic skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis
Use anti-coagulant (blood-thinning) medications
Have a strong tendency to form keloid scars
Are currently undergoing chemotherapy or radiation therapy
Are treatments painful?
Thanks to the optimal needle count, needle design and speed of treatment, many clients find our treatments involve minimal discomfort and are more tolerable than treatments with standard microneedling devices.
Some discomfort will be felt but treatment is relatively quick and the application of LED Light Therapy after your treatments significantly reduces post treatment discomfort.
Aftercare Guidelines
Below are post-treatment guidelines to keep in mind:
The PRP needs to be left on the treatment area for a minimum of 4 hours before cleansing off with cool, clean water.
Avoid touching or rubbing the area.
Protect the area from direct sunlight.
Avoid strenuous activity or exercise for 48 hours.
Avoid exposure to excessive heat.
How many treatments will you need?
Typically, 4-6 treatments are recommended with maintenance treatments every 6 months.
It may also be recommended that you commence on supplements to help improve hair growth. You will be referred to the appropriate provider.
