Hair loss is a problem for both men and women. Around 10% of women aged 30-40 experience hair thinning and this percentage increases dramatically with age.

For men around 60% start to see a thinning of their hair from age 30 with as high as 85% of men experiencing a significant amount of hair thinning and male pattern baldness as they age.

A not so common condition that can also affect hair growth is known as Alopecia, affecting about 2% of the population.

How do the treatments work?

The main treatment used to improve hair growth and reduce hair loss is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections in combination with microneedling and LED light therapy.

PRP helps to accelerate the process of tissue regeneration and repair. At the injection sites growth factors are released which initiate the restoration and remodeling of dermal (skin & hair) tissues. Essentially PRP injections use the body’s own healing factors in a concentrated form to restore, repair, and rejuvenate the treatment area.

To perform a PRP treatment a small vial of your blood is extracted and then spun in a medical centrifuge which separates the PRP from your red blood cells. The separated PRP is then harvested and introduced into the treatment area via microneedling and direct injections to facilitate the best possible result.
