IPL Pigmentation Correction
for Sunspots, Freckles, and Uneven Skin Tone
Pigmented lesions (sunspots and freckles) are caused by overactive melanocytes, the pigment producing cells in the deeper layers of our skin.
Light based therapies like IPL Pigmentation Correction are amongst the most superior treatments to remove pigmentation.
Several treatments may be required dependent on the depth and size of the pigmented area.
IPL Pigmentation Correction effectively fades and removes age spots, sunspots, and discolouration to greatly improve overall skin tone, texture and radiance.
Unfortunately, this treatment is not suitable for melasma pigmentation however the Carbon Laser Facial, Collagen Induction Therapy and PRP Skin Rejuvenation are safe and effective treatment options.

What is IPL Pigmentation Correction?
IPL Pigmentation Correction is a light-based aesthetic treatment that actively targets and reduces pigmentation spots such as sun spots, freckles and age spots. It promotes a clearer, more even and healthier complexion.
How does it work?
IPL applies rapid pulses of light energy at different wavelengths to the treatment area. The light is absorbed by the targeted chromophores (pigmentation), in sunspots or freckles to break them up and they then naturally exfoliate off.
Is it painful?
No, it is not painful, but you will feel a “flicking” type sensation often described as a rubber band flicking the skin.
Are the results long lasting?
Most clients enjoy long lasting results. However, factors such as sun exposure, adequate sun protection, dept of pigmentation and general health of the skin can influence reoccurence of pigmented spots.
Is there any downtime?
No. IPL skin treatments require no downtime. You can resume your normal daily activities immediately afterwards. Some redness may occur which will settle within a few hours. During your initial consultation and after every appointment you will be provided with appropriate aftercare instructions.
How many treatments will you need?
This will vary depending on the severity of your skin concerns. A single treatment may be sufficient to treat sunspots or freckles but multiple treatments may be required to provide a superior result.
